Allows IFAs to free their
time
Our service complements that of independent financial advisers
whose core skill is the structuring of a client's wealth. Rathbones
offers an initial and ongoing fee sharing arrangement to IFAs, and
takes on the associated compliance and regulatory issues/risks
associated with managing investment portfolios.
Provides a professional
multi-asset class service to high net worth clients
Rathbones creates bespoke portfolios for clients. It does not offer
a limited number of in-house funds or rigid model portfolios. Its
investment service, which can be adjusted with ease over an
investor's lifetime, can accommodate specialist requirements,
including ethical considerations.
Accesses investments not available to the vast majority
of IFAs and their clients
Rathbones operates on a genuinely best-of-breed/whole-of-market
basis buying third party funds and products from over 30 investment
firms. Rathbones' buying power across £11 billion of private
client money allows it to access investments that may be closed to
individual retail investors, access to institutional pricing and/or
better terms (particularly in relation to structured products).
Can be ideal for managing income
requirements
A wider range of asset classes may be particularly important in
scenarios where drawing an income from capital is the aim for an
individual as direct equity investments, in particular, provide an
opportunity for an income stream with capital growth.
Offers IFAs a quality
service
Rathbones does not employ client relationship managers. IFAs (and
their clients) have direct access to investment managers for beauty
parades and on-going client meetings.
Is supported by the firm's
stability and strength
Rathbone Investment Management is one of the UK's largest and
longest established providers of discretionary investment services.
Rathbones has 150 investment managers in eight offices nationally.
Rathbones is part of Rathbone Brothers Plc which remains an
independent company with a listing on the London Stock Exchange and
has a market capitalisation in the region of £500
million.
